In Pain?

Chiropractic is a healthcare field that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system. It is a form of complementary or alternative medicine used as a non invasive therapy or treatment. It is well established within the United States, and is currently the third largest healthcare profession after primary care medicine and dentistry.

Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions without resorting to invasive (surgical) treatment techniques. The main technique chiropractors work with includes hands-on, manual therapy techniques. This might include spine manipulation, or manipulation of joints or other soft tissues. Though the most common reason that individuals seek out chiropractic care is to address lower back pain issues, chiropractors also regularly diagnose and treat a wide variety of muscle, tendon, and joint issues, including athletic injuries.

Zannetti Chiropractic will begin a treatment by assessing the symptoms presenting in the patient, then use observational and tactile assessments to gauge the extent of a patient’s malady. When necessary, orthopedic and neurological evaluation, as well as radiographic imaging techniques will be used to provide a better diagnosis. The chiropractor will then seek to address the issue through spinal manipulation, or any of a number of manual therapy techniques that seek to alleviate pain and restore natural functionality of the joints, muscles, and tendons. If needed, the chiropractor will lead the patient through rehabilitative exercises. The chiropractor may also work with the patient’s other healthcare professionals as part of a comprehensive, team-based healthcare plan.
